UW Global Infectious Disease Working Group presents two talks on Ebola, virology

The UW Global Infectious Disease Working Group welcomes two national researchers to present their work at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the AIDS Vaccine Research Lab, 555 Science Drive.

  • 2:00 p.m. Dr. Jens Kuhn. virology lead at the NIH/NIAID Integrated Research Facility at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md., presents “Demystifying “Ebola” – Rumors and Anecdotes Versus Scientific Facts.”
  • 3:00 p.m. Dr. Sheli Radoshitsky, from the Molecular and Translational Sciences Division at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, presents “Transport of Alphavirus Glycoproteins to the Cell Surface is Mediated by a Novel Actin-dependent Mechanism.”
