Stephen Warrick, MD, MEd, FAAP, assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, will discuss how the program was developed and ways to participate in a rotation.

Warrick is also director for the Global Health Pathway Steering Committee and Cincinnati Children’s and faculty advisor for the Global Child Health Interest Group. He and his colleagues worked with the Indian Health Service (IHS) to establish a residency program in Gallup, New Mexico. Residents have worked with the Gallup Indian Medical Center pediatric clinic, the Tohatchi Health Center and several community organizations.

Since the program began in 2010, four medicine-pediatrics graduates have taken positions with the IHS on the Navajo Reservation.
