The Global Health Institute (GHI) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison works at the intersection of health, equity and sustainability. Our work is grounded in a global health ethic and the One Health principle that recognizes the well-being of humans, animals, and the planet’s ecosystems are inextricably linked.
GHI is establishing three One Health Centers across the Americas, Africa and Asia offering new opportunities for UW faculty, staff, students and trainees to collaborate with local communities and colleagues in mutually beneficial partnerships. Through these partnerships, UW shares its knowledge and resources to advance scientific training, build capacity and alleviate the burdens of disease and climate change.
The Research Associate Professor plays a critical role in supporting GHI’s research and development agenda. The role is responsible for securing new funding and providing comprehensive editorial review on proposals, bringing teams of faculty investigators together to pursue multidisciplinary funding and developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with the Research and Sponsored Programs office at UW-Madison.
