
The Global Health Institute (GHI) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison works at the intersection of health, equity and sustainability. Our work is grounded in a global health ethic and the One Health principle that recognize the well-being of humans, animals and the planet’s ecosystems are inextricably linked.
GHI is establishing three One Health Centers across the Americas, Africa and Asia offering new opportunities for UW faculty, staff, students and trainees to collaborate with local communities and colleagues in mutually beneficial partnerships. Through these partnerships, UW shares its knowledge and resources to advance scientific training, build capacity and alleviate the burdens of disease and climate change.
The Administrative Specialist plays a critical role in supporting effective and efficient operations. This position coordinates the office through a variety of tasks related to organization, communication and administration of GHI and One Health Centers around the world. This role is responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material and is familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
