Vic has an entrepreneurial background, spending 12 years with Hovde Properties and serving on several boards including the Madison Central Business Improvement District (BID), Centro Hispano of Dane County, Inc., Downtown Madison, Inc., and the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce, among many others. A descendant of the Anden people, Vic has over 25 years of leading groups on spiritual journeys, adventure expeditions, cultural and humanitarian trips to Cusco, Peru. He is founder of the nonprofit, Mundo Esperanza, dedicated to increasing awareness of the principles, practices, and spiritual beliefs of the indigenous peoples of the Americas and supporting the Madison Cusco Sister City Alliance. Vic received a bachelor’s in psychology from UW–Madison and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. In recognition of his academic achievements and commitment to community service, Vic was honored with the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Department of Psychology in 2024.
