Marulasiddappa Suresh, DVM, MVSc., Ph.D is a professor of immunology in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences in the School of Veterinary Medicine. His research focuses include respiratory immunity to viral and intracellular bacteria, specifically in understanding the mechanisms underlying the regulation of CD8 and CD4 T-cell memory to vaccines and protective immunity to viral pathogens. Suresh has received extensive training in basic virology and immunology, allowing him to study host/pathogen interactions from the standpoint of the development of protective immunity and viral pathogenesis.
