“Before the certificate, I saw myself spending time overseas providing direct medical care. Although clinical care is still a strong interest of mine, my goals have changed toward developing long-term partnerships focused on public health or medical education rather than clinical care. Not only has the certificate prepared me to work overseas, but it has also helped me to better understand the health issues we face right here in rural and urban underserved areas of Wisconsin.” — Jonathan Fricke
