John Holton is a successful health care entrepreneur with extensive experience in design, development, sales and support of health care information systems.
He founded and served as president and CEO of SCI, a cloud-based service connecting health systems to their community partners. Previously, he had founded AtWork Corporation, which became an industry leader in health care scheduling and management systems. Atwork made Inc. magazine’s list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies twice. He is currently executive chairman of CHESS Health, which provides an evidence-based relapse prevention platform for persons in recovery from substance use disorder for alcohol and opioids.
Holton earned his bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s in industrial engineering from UW-Madison. He received the College of Engineering’s Distinguished Service Award in 2000. He is also a member of the University of Wisconsin Foundation Board of Directors.
