Erik Iverson is the CEO of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation. There, Iverson provides vision and overall leadership for WARF; ensures that the strategic directives of WARF’s board are implemented; oversees the efficient performance of technology transfer operations and the investment portfolio; effectively communicates WARF’s mission internally by aligning and energizing employees around the mission and externally by engaging and influencing stakeholders; and works collaboratively with the UW–Madison chancellor, administration and faculty leadership. Iverson has more than 20 years of executive experience leading organizations committed to entrepreneurial efforts that positively impact people worldwide, including the Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI) based in Seattle, Washington, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Health Program.
