Symposium: African Development

Development in Africa can take on many faces. Join us for an afternoon of discussion and education around the progress made and future barriers toward sustainable development in Africa. As a member of the UW community, join the discussion of African development by showcasing your research to food security, public health, environment, social justice, and education on the African continent.

Africa’s Changing Face of Development poster viewing and judging will take place from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Posters will be presented in the atrium of the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.

Broad Poster categories include food security, public health, environment, education, social justice, and other topics related to development in Africa. Posters are welcome from all interested presenters, but only current students presenting posters are eligible for the cash prize competition. For poster consideration please submit abstracts of no longer than 300 words to kivancic@wisc.edu due by May 1, 2015.
