They will have the chance to visit outpatient, inpatient, surgery, otolaryngology and pharmacy departments while considering how Chinese and Western medicine differ and also are integrated.
Dr. Jack Jiang and Ellen Conroy lead the course June 8-22, 2015.
Medical students also have the opportunity to join a service-learning course in Guatemala to work with San Lucas Mission in its satellite clinics.
Participants organize supplies, travel to clinic sites, screen patients and present them to providers for evaluation. They can also volunteer for a local diabetes clinic and participate in community projects.
