Todd Courtenay is an advisor and manager for the Global Health Undergraduate Programs, working with current and prospective students in the major and certificate. He holds a BA in International Studies from University of Oregon and a doctorate in Geography from UW-Madison, with research and teaching interests in history, urban geography, sustainable development, and planetary health. He is especially interested in urban design and the role of cities in determining the health of people and ecosystems. Todd has worked student services since 2013 and is passionate about improving the undergraduate experience at UW-Madison and helping students make the most of their educational opportunities. He has lived abroad in Latin America and Europe, and in addition to travel he enjoys camping, sailing, and spending time with his family.
