The 2019 Wisconsin Science Festival, held Oct. 17 through 20, will feature more than 220 events statewide and include everything from fossil exploration and robotic engineering to animal encounters and the science of Star Wars.

Jason Vargo, a former assistant scientist at GHI, and other researchers recently published an article in the Social Science & Medicine journal. The UW System recently approved a notice of intent from a committee led by entomology professor and chair Susan Paskewitz’s that plans for a new global health bachelor of science major. Building off the success of the Global Health Certificate, the new major will allow students to dig deeper into this topic area.
