Lawrence M. Hands

As a certified Environmental Engineer in air pollution control, Hands has focused on helping customers meet their environmental obligations. His clients have included solar panel manufacturers, innovative natural gas conversion processers, and solvent recyclers. He also works with companies and regulators to obtain and negotiate air quality permits. He has served as treasurer of two nonprofits and is the director of the Sally Mead Hands Foundation.
Hands is on the executive board of the Environmental Sustainability Rotarian Action Group and is active with Citizens Climate Lobby, an organization working with Congress to pass a carbon fee and dividend bill to help mitigate climate change.
Hands is honing his photography skills. He enjoys yoga, swimming and biking. He and his wife, Karen, take awesome travel adventures. He enjoys their cabin in mid-Michigan where friends visit and he cooks over the campfire most every evening.
