On March 4, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs will host a half-day International Women’s Day Global Health Symposium at the Fairmont hotel in Chicago. This symposium will explore how women are affecting change in the health field – locally and globally – and examine the economic, political, geographic, and cultural factors involved in addressing global women’s health.
This year’s International Women’s Day Global Health Symposium will explore many of the inter-related challenges that will define the coming decades for women locally, nationally, and internationally. Join The Chicago Council and a network of international thought-leaders for a discussion on how an investment in women’s health can lead to a more equitable and prosperous future.
Globally, girls face the greatest challenges as they have less access to critical resources than male counterparts. Lori DiPrete Brown, Director, 4W Women and Wellbeing Initiative, UW-Madison will be one of the speakers at the council.
