World health leaders warn that the aftermath of the recent Ebola crisis presents a critical moment to develop strategies for future infectious disease outbreaks. Join a wide-ranging group of world-renowned experts as they revisit the Ebola crisis and discuss future global health emergencies. Presenters include virologist Yoshihiro Kawaoka and historian of science Gregg Mitman, both members of the Global Health Institute Advisory; emergency medicine physician Janis Tupesis, the GHI-Graduate Medical Education; and research fellow Alhaji N’jai, who has led global health field courses. The presentation will include excerpts from Mitman’s gripping short documentary “In the Shadow of Ebola.”
The session is part of this year’s Science Festival that runs from Oct. 22-25.
