This week’s Population Health Sciences Monday Seminar features Maureen Durkin, Ph.D., DrPH, who is a GHI Advisory Committee member.

Since the first epidemiologic study of autism in the U.S. was published in 1970, data from multiple sources have shown steady increases in the prevalence of autism among children. This talk will describe trends over time, risk factors, racial and socioeconomic disparities, and public health and health services implications of the rising prevalence of autism spectrum disorder.
