PHS Monday Seminar: Tracey Holloway, PhD, “Linking Satellite Data with Public Health and Air Quality”

This talk will focus on the opportunities and challenges in using satellite data for health exposure assessment and understanding air pollution.  For over 10 years, satellites have been used to characterize spatial and temporal patterns in air quality on a global basis, and planned programs over the coming few years will greatly expand satellite capability. However, the connection between NASA data and public health users is not yet well established. Tracey Holloway leads NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team (HAQAST, @NASA_HAQAST), which works to build two-way dialogue and advance research to support new health and air quality applications.
