Dr. Maria Cotera, Dr. Andrea “Tess” Arenas and filmmaker Linda Garcia Merchant will discuss their efforts to recover the histories of Chicana and Latina activists through an innovative mix of digital media, oral history and archival collection that centers cross generational feminist praxis.

The plenary session, which is open free to the public is part of the 2016 Summit on Women, Gender and Empowerment. It is one of two plenaries and three lectures that are open to the public. Read more about the public events.
