4W Innovation Award

The 4W Innovation Award is intended as general support– which can be used toward summer salary, course buy out, or other arrangement with school or department– to allow a faculty or academic staff member to devote time to develop a key initiative related to women and wellbeing and aligned with the vision and core values of the 4W program. Applications are open to all faculty and academic staff. Programs should enhance gender equity in communities (locally or globally) and have a research-toaction focus. Preference will be given to projects that also provide benefits to faculty and/or students in the campus community.

4W anticipates making up to two awards of $5000 to $7500 each. Awardees will be celebrated at the 4W Annual Summit. The 4W Innovation award is made possible by the generosity of the Women’s Philanthropy Council.

4W Engagement Grants for Emerging Scholars

4W Engagement Grants for Emerging Scholars are intended to flexibly support graduate and professional students in any relevant discipline, who are engaged in work related to women and wellbeing. Projects should have a research-to-action focus aimed at enhancing gender equity in Wisconsin or globally. The grants may be used for project expenses or travel related to community-based research or practice, including internships, independent study projects, pre-dissertation or pre-thesis groundwork.

4W anticipates making 2 to 4 awards of up to $2500. These scholars would be recognized and present at the annual 4W Summit. The 4W Engagement Grants for Emerging Scholars are made possible by the generosity of the Women’s Philanthropy Council.
