Emerging infections don’t just happen. Some phenomena come together to trigger emergence and transmission. Sarah Paige, a post-doctoral research associate in the lab of Dr. Tony Goldberg in the School of Veterinary Medicine, looks at the human factor in the spread of disease from animals to humans.

Paige directs social science field operations for the Kibale EcoHealth Project and the Gates Foundation-funded “Holoflops to prevent hookworm” study.
