Nursing student brings fresh perspective to UW-Madison
This week is Habitat III Conference, a global summit on housing and sustainable urban development. UniverCity Alliance will be providing updates on the event, celebrating the work of our #Habitat3 partners from Mexico, Ecuador and Ethiopia, as well as the work of University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty member Shawn Kelly.

The city of Monona will serve as the pilot location for the “UniverCity” initiative, in which faculty, staff and students from UW-Madison will work with the city on projects in areas such as parks and recreation, transportation, housing and economic development.
The UniverCity Alliance launched a partnership with the city of Monona Wednesday at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center to engage students in the city’s developmental projects.

Those who develop global health (GH) training opportunities often face common challenges. In an article co-authored by GHI Advisory member Janis P. Tupesis, six GH professionals offer suggestions for incorporating GH education into U.S. residency programs in an ethically sound and sustainable manner. The article also provides examples and solutions for common challenges encountered when developing GH education programs.
